I Care
By: Maxwell Edison

I care about how you feel
I don’t like it when they push you around.
Sometimes I wish they would just come around.

I care about how you feel
I just need the courage to stand up for you.

I don’t like the way they treat you.
And the way they get away with it.
I wish I could, but even I know
It would be wrong to hit.

I wish they’d realize the damage
They do to I and you
You are so strong on the outer,
But can plainly see, It’s killing you as much as me.

I care that their endless torment,
Is eating you alive.
Its what you try to hide,
But it shows through a bit on the outside.

I care that you be happy
And not afraid.
I care that you and I can talk about their taunts.
I care that you see that you can count on me.
Forever will I be by your side.
I will be your crutch when you need one.

I care for you.
