Pas De Deux D'amour

by: Max Sprinkle

The lights come up
Two dancers, center stage.
Romance sings through
Orchestral strings
Their hearts pounding
The melody begins
Their bodies move together.

She leaps across the stage.
Gliding into his arms
He cradles her.
Raising her, praising her.
Their audience in amaze.

She floats toward them,
With bird-like grace,
She descends into his embrace.
Caressing her, carrying her.

She springs to life.
Leaping, loving, dancing!
He welcomes her.
Spinning and winning her.
She faints, she falls.

He catches her, cushions her.
Keeps her close.

The lights dim, audience roars,
Two lovers, center stage.
Their hearts pounding.
They hold each other, kiss.
Curtain.
